TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (KENSINGTON PLACE) 2026
The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that the intend to make a Temporary Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Schedule 1 Section 14 (1)(a) and all other enabling powers prohibiting motorised vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below.
Kensington Place is to be closed to eastbound traffic between the junctions of Jameson Street and Kensington Church Street.
The road is to be closed to vehicles for utility works.
The restrictions will come into force from 08.00hrs on Monday 3rd August 2026 until 18.00hrs on Monday 24th August 2026, with backup dates of Monday 10th August 2026 until Thursday 27th August 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to:
• anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.
• anything done in connection with the execution of said works.
