  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames propose to make the above Orders under sections 6, 45 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

  2. The general effects of the Orders will be to reduce the length of the permit holder bay on the south-eastern side opposite Nos. 5-9 Beverley Road and replace with double yellow lines (“no waiting at any time”) to facilitate the installation of a raingarden. The length of parking bay will be reduced by approximately 13.4 metres.

  3. Copies of further particulars giving details to the proposals: -

    (a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 26/129, at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

    (b) may be viewed on the Council’s web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices

  4. Persons wishing to object to or support the proposals or any part thereof should write to the Director of Highways and Street Scene, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ within 21 days of the date of this Notice giving the grounds of their objection. Representations may also be sent by email to Trafficorders@richmond.gov.uk

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Parking Restrictions, Road Closures

Various Roads & Bus Lane closure Cross Deep, Richmond.

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in various roads.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or stand in the roads detailed in the schedule, between the dates indicated. The parking restrictions, Bus Lane Closure and road closures will operate on a rolling basis.

  3. The order will come into effect on 20 July 2026. The restrictions will be in force at all times from 20 July until 31 August 2026 the order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Road Closure

Grena Gardens, Richmond.

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate electrical works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Grena Gardens, Richmond.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Grena Gardens, at any junction with Grena Road.

  3. Whilst the works take place, an alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Grena Road, Manor Gardens, Adelaide Road and vice versa.

  4. The order will come into effect on 27 July 2026. These works are anticipated to be in progress at all times from 27 July 2026 to 29 July 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water connection works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in High Street, Whitton.

  2. Whilst the work takes place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in High Street, Whitton from outside numbers 120–128 & opposite outside number 117 to outside the Station entrance including the Pickup & set down bay.

  3. The order will come into effect 27 July 2026. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 27 July to 30 July 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer repair works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Lower Sunbury Road, Hampton.

  2. Whilst the work takes place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Lower Sunbury Road, Hampton at the junction with Upper Sunbury Road.

  3. The order will come into effect 27 July 2026. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 27 July to 09 August 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  4. Whilst the closure is in place an alternative route for traffic will be via Lower Sunbury Road, Lower Hampton Road, Harefield Road, Station Road East, Upper Sunbury Road and vice versa.

  5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;
