The East Sussex (C706 Denbigh Road, Hooe)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow HW Martin (Traffic Management) Limited to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Denbigh Road – from The Red Lion to the junction with B2095 Top Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C706 Denbigh Road – B2095 Top Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 20 July 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 09:30hrs to 15:30hrs on 20 July 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Poppinghole Lane – from the junction with B2089 Hooks Beech to the junction with A21 Johns Cross Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A21(T) Johns Cross Road, Woodmans Green Road – B2089 Park Lane, Hooks Beech and vice versa.
The Order commences 20 July 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Hughenden Road – from the junction with C215 Elphinstone Road to the junction with U3281 Hughenden Place. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3280 Hughenden Road – C457 Mount Pleasant Road – C215 Elphinstone Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 22 July 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 22 and 23 July 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Mill Lane – at the junction with A28 Main Road for 30 metres.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6961 Mill Lane – U6975 Cottage Lane – A28 Main Road and vice versa.
The Order commenced 20 April 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 20 and 24 July 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Alpine Road – from the junction with U3186 Priory Road to the junction with U3198 Plynlimmon Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3198 Plynlimmon Road – U3202 Gordon Road – U3186 Priory Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 20 July 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 20 July and 10 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Castle Road – from the junction with B2244 Junction Road to the junction with C19 Castle Hill.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C19 Castle Hill, Bodiam Road, Rock Hill, Bodiam Road – B2165 Cripps Corner Road – B2244 Junction Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 23 July 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 23 and 27 July 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Little Ridge Avenue – from the junction with U3016 Harrow Lane to the junction with U3008 Hillside Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3008 Hillside Road – B2093 The Ridge, Conquest roundabout, The Ridge – U3016 Harrow Lane and vice versa.

Cinque Ports Street – from the junction with A268 Ferry Road to the junction with A268 Tower Street. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2089 Park Lane – A21(T) Woodmans Green Road, Hastings Road, New Road, Whydown Hill, Kent Street, Ebdens Hill – A28 Ebdens Hill, Westfield Lane, Church Lane, Main Road, Brede Road, Brede Hill, Cackle Street – B2089 Chitcombe Road, Tank Hill, Whorne Woods, Catts Green and vice versa.

The East Sussex (U3144 Warrior Square, St Leonards-on-Sea)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Warrior Square – from the junction with U3160 Warrior Square to the junction with U3144 Terrace Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3144 Terrace Road, Western Road – A2102 Norman Road – U3160 Warrior Square. To maintain access for residents only, a suspension of one-way traffic will be in place (revert to two way traffic), during these works.
The Order commences 3 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 3 and 23 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

Berlin Road – from the junction with U3232 Edmund Road to the junction with U3224 Ashburnham Road. Diversion via U3224 Ashburnham Road – U3230 Moscow Road – U3232 Edmund Road and vice versa. Berlin Road – from the junction with U3232 Edmund Road to the junction with U3221 Athelstan Road. Diversion via U3221 Athelstan Road – U3225 Bedford Road – U3232 Edmund Road and vice versa. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic set out above.
The Order commences 3 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 3 and 21 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.
