TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC 150707260 : The City of Manchester (Tariff Street, Piccadilly Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Tariff Street from L/C 3 TO L/C 6. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Tariff Street, Laystall Street, Great Ancoats Street, Newton Street, Dale Street, Port Street, Brewer Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Sewer connection works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 20th July 2026 to 31st July 2026. The order shall come into operation on 20th July 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
ORDER NO. MCC 150878301 : The City of Manchester (Esmond Road, Cheetham Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Esmond Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Woodlands Road, Greenhill Road, Chiselhurst Street, Esmond Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate routine maintenance of sewers. It is expected that the works will be in progress on 20th July 2026. The order shall come into operation on 20th July 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
