What is happening?

CYNGOR BWRDEISTREF SIROL CASTELL-NEDD PORT TALBOT
(HEOL CAE GURWEN AND GRON ROAD, GWAUN CAE GURWEN) (REVOCATION) AND
(PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Council on the 14 th July 2026 made an Order in pursuance of its powers as contained in Sections 1 and 2 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is as set out in the Schedules below.

A copy of the Order can be inspected on the Council's Internet Website https://www.npt.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders-tros 

The Order will come into force on the 24th July 2026.

If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its powers on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for that purpose to the High Court.

SCHEDULES
Schedule 1 - Revocation - Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time
1.1 Any existing Orders are hereby revoked only in so far as they relate to the sides and lengths of road set out in Schedule's 2 of this Order.

1.2 The provisions contained in Schedule 1 of The West Glamorgan Council (Heol Cae Gurwen and Gron Road, Gwaun Cae Gurwen) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading) Order 1983, are hereby revoked.

Schedule 2 - Prohibition of Waiting at Any Time
2.1 Heol-Cae-Gurwen, Gwaun Cae Gurwen (North East Side)
From a point approximately 127 metres north west of its junction with the north western kerbline of Crescent Road for a distance of approximately 35 metres in a north westerly direction.

2.2 Heol-Cae-Gurwen, Gwaun Cae Gurwen (South West Side)
From its junction with the southern kerbline of Gron Road for a distance of approximately 15 metres in a south easterly direction.

2.3 Heol-Cae-Gurwen, Gwaun Cae Gurwen (South West Side)
From its junction with the northern kerbline of Gron Road for a distance of approximately 15 metres in a north westerly direction.

2.4 Gron Road, Gwaun Cae Gurwen (Both Sides)
From its junction with the south western kerbline of Heol-Cae Gurwen for a distance of approximately 10 metres in a south westerly direction.
