TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATH
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (KIMBERLEY FOOTPATH NO.25 & GREASLEY FOOTPATH NO.26) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) CONTINUATION NO.2 ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State Transport in pursuance of the powers conferred by Sections 14 and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 approves of The Nottinghamshire County Council (Kimberley Footpath No.25 & Greasley Footpath No.26) (Temporary Prohibition Notice 2026 (which came into force on 21st January 2026 and was continued in force by a Continuation Order until 20th July 2026 inclusive) being extended and continuing in force until 20th July 2027 or until completion of the relevant works, whichever is the sooner.

The Order has the following effect:-

No person shall: -

(a) proceed on foot, in the following length of Footpath at Kimberley and Greasley in the Borough of Broxtowe :- Kimberley Footpath No.25 continuing as Greasley Footpath No.26 for a total distance of approximately 250 metres.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there is no alternative route available for pedestrians on public rights of way.If the works are not completed within the above period, the Order may be extended for a longer period with the further approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.

The prohibition is required to protect public safety following water damage due to poor drainage, which has caused serious erosion and rutting damage to the path surface.
