What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) C291 (Part), Orcheston; from its property known as Elston Lodge for a distance of approximately 62m in a westerly direction to enable Wessex Water Services to carry out sewer rehabilitation via CIPP lining, to seal sewers of infiltration, stopping potential flooding and pollution. Alternative route via C291 (unaffected length) – A360 – Tanners Lane – The Hollow and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 10 August 2026 and the closure will be required for 1 day. B) Crawlboys Lane (Part), Ludgershall; from its junction with Old Common Way for a distance of approximately 120m in a north easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out a pole replacement and other associated works. Alternative route via Crawlboys Lane (unaffected length) – Bibbesden Lane – A342 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 14 August 2026 and the closure will be required for 1 day. C) B3085 (Part), Durrington; from its junction with A3028 to its junction with High Street to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out drainage and other associated works. Alternative route via Larkhill Road – Netheravon Road – Hackthorne Road – Church Street and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 10 August 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 for 5 days. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

D) B3089 (Part), Tefont; from its junction with C277 to its junction with UC 993101.

E) UC 993101, Tefont; from its junction with B3089 to its junction with C24 to enable Wessex Water to carry out urgent drainage works due to severe flooding and associated works. Diversion route to be symbolised with a solid circle. Alternative route via B3089 (unaffected length) – A350 – A30 – B3089 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 20 July 2026 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day until 21 August 2026. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 600 4600.

F) Newton Lane (Part), Whiteparish; from its junction with A36 for a distance of approximately 400m in a north easterly direction to enable Wessex Internet to carry out installation of communication equipment and associated works. Alternative route via Newton Lane (unaffected length) – A27 – A36 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 20 July 2026 and the closure will be required until 24 July 2026. G) C292 (Part), Durnford; from its property known as Corner Elm to its property known as Damar to enable Wessex Water Services Limited to carry out section 81/defect – repair/replace cover and frame. Alternative route via C292 (unaffected length) – UC 133601 – C294 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 21 July 2026 and the closure will be required for 1 day. H) Marina Crescent (Part), Durrington; from its property known as No.04 Marina Crescent for a distance of approximately 20m in a northerly direction to enable Wessex Water Services Limited to carry out section 81/defect – repair/replace cover and frame. Alternative route via Marina Crescent (unaffected length) – Stonehenge Road – Marina Road and vice versa. I) C10 (Part), Steeple Langford; from its junction with The Hollow for a distance of approximately 150m in an easterly direction to enable M J Abbott Ltd to carry out a new foul connection via excavation and associated works. Alternative route via C10 (unaffected length) – A30 – B3089 – Snow Hill – C64 – C10 (unaffected length) and vice versa. J) C256 (Part), Ludgershall; from its junction with Crawlboys Lane to its junction with Hookwood Lane to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge overrun works. Alternative route via A342 – Bibdeseden Bottom Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 20 July 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:30 and 17:00 for 5 days. K) Brook Street (Part), Fovant; from its property known as Sunnyside to its property known as The Cottage to enable Openreach Limited to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route via Brook Street (unaffected length) – A30 – Brook Street (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 20 July 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. L) Church Street (Part), Wylye; from its junction with High Street to its property known as No.18 Church Street to enable Wessex Water to carry out sewer and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 20 July 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 until 31 July 2026. M) C10 (Part), Wylye; from its junction with Highclere Cottages to its property known as Nutmeg Cottage to enable Wessex Water to carry out frame and cover and associated works. Alternative route via C10 (unaffected length) – C64 and vice versa. This Order which had previously came into operation on 13 April 2026 will now recommence on 21 July 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 1 day.

For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 600 4600. Orders A) to L) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order M) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to temporarily introduce a 30mph speed restriction on the following lengths of roads:

A) A350 (Part), Sedgehill and Semley; from its property known as Silverwood for a distance of approximately 95m in a northerly direction.

B) C308 (Part), Sedgehill and Semley; from its junction with A350 for a distance of approximately 55m in a westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out mains replacement and associated works.

The speed restrictions will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This speed limit restrictions will come into operation on 10 August 2026 and will be required until 04 September 2026. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
