What is happening?
THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL
BISHOP LANE (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along:-
Bishop Lane, outside numbers 24 and 25, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during essential roof repair and maintenance works to 24-25 Bishop Lane, including the erection, use and removal of scaffolding.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will take effect on 10th August 2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 0:00 on 10th August 2026 and 23:59 on 7th September 2026.
