What is happening?
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(SPRINGFIELD ROAD) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Springfield Road its
entire length in both directions.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken from 30 July 2026 until 6 August 2026.
The vehicular diversion route is: Central Avenue,
Lansdowne Road and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate carriageway resurfacing
by City of Wolverhampton Council.
