Notice of Intention
to Make a Temporary Traffic Order
Borough of Telford & Wrekin

The Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the Borough of Telford & Wrekin, New
Street, Newport (SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026 under section 14(1) and Part IV Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”). The Order is to be made in accordance with section 14(1) (b) of the Act because of a likelihood of danger to the public whilst highway improvement works takes place. The effect of the Order will be to temporarily reverse the provisions in Mapped Moving Traffic Prohibitions, Restrictions and Provisions) Traffic Regulation Order 2024 to enable vehicular traffic to travel northbound for the duration of the Order. The order will become operational on 27/7/26 between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 and will remain in force until 7/8/26.
