Borough of Telford & Wrekin
The Council proposes to make the Borough of Telford & Wrekin, New Street, Newport (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, whilst highway improvement works are being undertaken. The order becomes operational from the 27/7/26 between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00. The following road is affected: New Street, Newport from its jcn with High St for approx. 50m in a south westerly direction. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the works are expected to be completed by the 7/8/26.
Alternative routes will be signed on site.
