(HARTFORD ROAD & EATON LANE, DAVENHAM) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that; on the 9th July 2026 the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which came into force on 10th July 2026.
The effect of the order will be to introduce a prohibition of waiting traffic regulation order on Hartford Road and Eaton Lane, Davenham as set out in the schedule below –
Schedule 1
(Prohibition of Waiting)
Hartford Road (south side) – from a point 10 metres east of its junction with Eaton Lane to a point 10 metres west of its junction with Eaton Lane.
Eaton Lane (both sides) – from its junction with Hartford Road for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction.
If you wish to question the validity of the order or any of its provisions on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any instruments made under it has not been complied with, you may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under sections 90A to 90C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to construct speed cushions on Townshend Road and Fryer Road, Lostock Gralam.
Full details showing the proposals & speed cushion specification may be examined during the usual office hours at Winsford Area Highways Office, Browning Way, Woodford Park, Winsford, CW7 2RB. TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
TR08761 – Woodford Lane in Winsford
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in WINSFORD to enable digging down to repair sewer in carriageway works to be carried out by United Utilities.
WOODFORD LANE: Side of 1 Delamere Street – CW7 2JY
Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes.
A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.
The Order will come into force on 20/07/2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 12 days to complete.
Alternative routes for through traffic: Traffic should proceed via: Woodford Lane, Over Square, Oakmere Road, St Johns Drive.
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
TR08766 – Homewood Crescent in Hartford
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Hartford to enable excavation of joint bay in footway and provide new service via road crossing for underground upgrade works to be carried out by MANWEB.
HOMEWOOD CRESCENT: O/S AND OPPOSITE 14
Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes.
A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.
The Order will come into force on 21/07/2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 7 days to complete.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
TR08770 – Village Lane in Whitley
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in WHITLEY to enable excavation and installation new LV main for network upgrade work, works to be carried out by MANWEB.
VILLAGE LANE: O/S SCHOOL TO JNC BLACK LANE
Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes.
A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.
The Order will come into force on 20/07/2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 18 days to complete.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
TR08787 – Middlewich Road in Winsford
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic travelling Westbound on the following length of road in Winsford to enable Bridge maintenance works. Work to be carried out by Cheshire West and Chester Council.
MIDDLEWICH ROAD: A54 Railway Bridge between the access to Brighton Belle Pub and the Station Road roundabout, on the West side of Winsford Railway Station.
Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes.

Footway closure: Alternative route will be provided works to be carried out by UE500 – Colas Ltd (CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER COUNCIL).
WITTON STREET: Witton Street – closure between Brook Street and Venables Road (in conjunction with works on Venables Road and Meadow Street)

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in NORTHWICH to enable pedestrian crossing points, tactiles and kerbline works. Footway closure: Alternative route will be provided works to be carried out by UE500 – Colas Ltd (CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER COUNCIL).
VENABLES ROAD: Venables Road (in conjunction with works on Witton Street and Meadow Street).

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in NORTHWICH to enable Pedestrian crossing points, tactiles and kerbline works. Footway closure: Alternative route will be provided works to be carried out by UE500 – Colas Ltd (CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER COUNCIL).
MEADOW STREET: Closure between Sheath Street and Venables Road (in conjunction with works on Witton Street and Venables Road) Access to Sheath Street will be maintained.
Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in NORTHWICH to enable Carriageway Surfacing and Lining works to be carried out by UE500 – Colas Ltd (CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER COUNCIL).
HARTFORD ROAD: Hartford Road closure between its junction at A556 Chester Road to London Road
NOTE: The works are weather dependant and may be subject to rescheduling in the event of inclement weather.
Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes.

The Order will come into force on 30/07/2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately ten days to complete.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
TR08800 – Station Road in Lostock
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in LOSTOCK to enable sewer repair in carriageway work to be carried out by United Utilities Water Ltd.
STATION ROAD: 16, Station Road, Lostock Gralam, Northwich, (CW9 7PN)
Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes.
A through route will not always be available and vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.
The Order will come into force on 03/08/2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 12 days to complete.
