Lingen - Public Footpath Diversion Order

Highways Act 1980 Section 119, Herefordshire Council, Public Footpaths LN40 and LN40A (Parts) Lingen, Public Path Diversion Order 2026

The above order made on 30th June, 2026 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert those lengths of footpath as follows:

The existing routes of footpath LN40 running from OS Grid Reference SO 3660 6696 to OS Grid Reference SO 3670 6678 and footpath LN40A running from OS Grid Reference SO 3660 6683 to OS Grid Reference SO 3668 6684.

Alternative footpaths will be created, being 2 metres in width, as follows:

The proposed new routes of footpath LN40 running from OS Grid Reference SO 3660 6696 to OS Grid Reference SO 3670 6678 and footpath LN40A running from OS Grid Reference SO 3660 6683 to OS Grid Reference SO 3667 6683.

Representations or objections to the order must be made in writing to Public Rights of Way Manager, Herefordshire Council, Plough Lane, Hereford, HR4 0LE, or by email to PROW@herefordshire.gov.uk, quoting reference PROW/D576 and stating your reasons, to be received not later than 14th August, 2026. Your details may be made available to third parties.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State, Department of Environment Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
