What is happening?

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET

The Barnet (Free Parking Places, Loading Places, Waiting, Loading And Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No.*) Order 20** - The Barnet (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No.*) Order 20** - Section 90a Highways Act 1980

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of The London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

As part of variety of measures in the Lodge Lane Area to deter obstructive parking, improve sightlines, traffic flow and road safety, the general effect of the Order would be to:

1. convert a length of resident permit holder only parking bay operating from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Saturday outside Nos.65 to 77 Lodge Lane and outside Nos. 3 to 6 and No.8 Robert House, Lodge Lane N12 to "At any time" waiting restrictions.

2. convert a length of No waiting restrictions operating from 8:00am to 6:30pm Monday to Saturday situated outside Nos.48 to 56 Lodge Lane to a resident permit holder only parking bay operating from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Saturday. This measure is being proposed to mitigate the loss of parking on street.

NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Barnet in exercise of powers conferred by section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 proposes to introduce Speed Tables and Sinusoidal humps as follows:

The above measures are being proposed as part of a scheme to help reduce vehicle speeds in the Lodge Lane N12 area. In addition, the above measures are being proposed in relation to a previous public consultation which was advertised on the 28th November 2024 under scheme reference: - SCR607 (RSE038 _ Lodge Lane).

A copy of the proposed Orders, associated plan of the relevant areas and the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be obtained, inclusive for a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing: highwayscorrespondence@barnet.gov.uk, or by writing to: The Design Team, Highways Section, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London, NW9 4EW.

Any person wishing to object to or comment on the proposed Orders should send a written statement explaining their objection/comments, and quoting reference number SCR728 (RSE038 _Lodge Lane), to the Design Team, London Borough of Barnet, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale NW9 4EW, via the Barnet Traffweb website or via email to: highwayscorrespondence@barnet.gov.uk, within 21 days of the date of this Notice.
