(NO.13) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.
Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 5th August 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for those dates as stated in the schedule and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES
- C5024, Haverthwaite - From 5th August 2026 for Approx. duration 6 days (Ref:TTROW/19637)
From a point approx. 20 metres north of its junction with U5200, extending in a northerly direction for approx. 160 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C5024, U5520, C5049, U5222, C5026 and the A590.
- C5024, Haverthwaite - From 17th August 2026 for Approx. duration 3 days (Ref:TTROW/19597)
From its junction with The Causeway, extending in a easterly direction for approx. 115 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C5024, U5220, C5049, C5026 and the A590.
- Bridge Lane, Troutbeck Bridge - From 18th August for Approx. duration 3 days (Ref:TTROW/19598)
From a point approx. 815 metres predominately south of its junction with Holbeck Lane, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 110 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Bridge Lane, Holbeck Lane and the A591.
- Ellers Brow, Skelwith Bridge - From 18th August 2026 for Approx. duration 3 days (Ref:TTROW/19608)
From its junction with A593, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 25 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of Ellers Brow, U5524 and the A593.
- C5019, Hawkshead – From 14th September 2026 for Approx. duration 5 months (Ref:TTROW/19587)
From its junction with B5285, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 3.7 kilometres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the C5019, B5286 and the B5285.
- U5223, Staveley-in-Cartmel – From 14th September 2026 for Approx. duration 3 days (Ref:TTROW/19650)
From a point approx. 115 metres west of its junction with the C5041, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 75 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U5223, C5041 and the A592.
