Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON A5111 RAYNESWAY, DERBY

WHEN: 25 August 2026 to 26 August 2026 (20.00 to 06.00) Overnight Only
WHERE: Raynesway, from the Derby Road/Acorn
Way/Raynesway Roundabout to A5111 Raynesway
REASON: Grass cutting and Horticultural maintenance
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Southbound Closure: Derby Road – Spondon Roundabout – A52 Eastbound – Victoria Avenue – A52 Westbound – Raynesway Southbound and Northbound Closure: Raynesway Northbound – A52 Westbound – Circumnavigate The Pentagon – A52 Eastbound – Derby Road

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON CLARENCE ROAD, CHATSWORTH STREET, DERBY

WHEN: 24 August 2026 to 07 September 2026
WHERE: Clarence Road, either side of its junction with Chatsworth Street. Access to the South side entrance to Chatsworth Street (cul-de-sac) to be maintained
REASON: Replace gas mains and associated services
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Clarence Road – Haddon Street – Porter Road – Livingstone Road and Livingstone Road – Porter Road – Overdale Road – St Chads Road – Byron Street – Lower Dale Road – Almond Street – Clarence Road

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON ONSLOW ROAD, STATION ROAD (ACCESS ROAD), MICKLEOVER, DERBY

WHEN: 24 August 2026 to 28 August 2026 – (09.30 to 15.30) Daily
WHERE: Onslow Road, at its junction with station Road – a distance of approximately 20 metres. Station Road (Access Road), from its junction with Onslow Road to its junction with Mill Lane.
REASON: Telecom mast works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Onslow Road – Brisbane Road – Western Road (and the same in the opposite direction) or Station Road – East Avenue – Buxton Drive – Brisbane Road – Onslow Road

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF THE ONE WAY ORDER AND TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON CARRINGTON STREET AND TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF THE PARKING BAYS ORDER ON CANAL STREET, DERBY

WHEN: 27 July 2026 to 30 July 2026
WHERE: Carrington Street, from its junction with Canal Street to its junction with Derby West Indian Community Centre. Suspend the one way order on Carrington Street, from its junction with Trinity Street to its junction with Canal Street. Suspend the parking bay order on Canal Street, from its junction with London Road to its junction with Carrington Street.
REASON: New electrical connection.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Carrington Street – Trinity Street – London Road – Canal Street

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON CURZON LANE, DERBY

WHEN: 20 July 2026 to 04 August 2026
WHERE: Curzon Lane, from its junction with London Road to its junction with Burnside Street.
REASON: Electrical reinforcement scheme
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:
London Road – Burnside Street – Curzon Lane (and the same in the opposite direction)

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON PARK LANE, ALLESTREE, DERBY

WHEN: 29 July 2026 to 29 July 2026
WHERE: Park Lane, from its junction with Cornhill and St Edmunds Close to its junction with Siddals Lane.
REASON: Telecom works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Park Lane – Duffield Road – Palm Court Island – Kings Croft – St Edmunds Close (and the same in the opposite direction)

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON GRENFELL AVENUE, DERBY

WHEN: 20 July 2026 to 27 July 2026
WHERE: Grenfell Avenue, at its junction with Sunnyhill Avenue.
REASON: Water works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Sunnyhill Avenue – Coleridge Street – Grenfell Avenue
