HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(Temporary Closing Of Walnut Tree Road, Pirton) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Walnut Tree Road, Pirton from its junction with Hitchin Road north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Royal Oak Lane, a distance of approximately 477m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Hitchin Road, Priors Hill, Shillington Road, West Lane and Royal Oak Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 3 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing And Waiting Restrictions On Priory Lane, Little Wymondley) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Priory Lane, Little Wymondley from its junction with Graveley Road southwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Stevenage Road, a distance of approximately 1039m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Graveley Road, Arch Road and Stevenage Road.

Additionally, all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 5 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 8 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Stanmore Road, Stevenage) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Stanmore Road, Stevenage from a point in line with the western boundary of No.23 Stanmore Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 14m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Stanmore Road, Church Lane, Basils Road and Stanmore Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 4 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 4 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Chells Way, Stevenage) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Chells Way, Stevenage from its junction with Mobbsbury Way north westwards to its junction with Frobisher Way, a distance of approximately 140m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Chells Way, Six Hills Way, A1155 (St Georges Way/Fairlands Way) and Chells Way.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 1 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Hayward Close, Stevenage) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hayward Close, Stevenage from a point 124m north east of its junction with Lonsdale Road north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 30m ("the Road").
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because electrical connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 20 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 12 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Various Roads In Stevenage And Knebworth) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"):-
1. that length of Watton Road/C29 (unnamed road), Stevenage and Watton Road, Knebworth from its junction with Hertford Road south westwards to its junction with B197 London Road, a distance of approximately 1633m.
An alternative route will be via: Hertford Road and B197 (London Road/Stevenage Road/London Road).

2. that length of Old Lane, Knebworth from its junction with Watton Road south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Swangleys Lane, a distance of approximately 542m.
An alternative route will be via: Watton Road, B197 London Road and Swangleys Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 20 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Great Gables, Great Ashby from its junction with Fairfield Crescent south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 150m ("the Road"), except for access.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B197 High Street, Baldock from its junction with B656 Hitchin Street south eastwards to its junction with the B197 London Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 630m ("the Road"), except for access.
Alternative route will be via: B656 (Hitchin Street/Letchworth Road/Baldock Road), A505 (Letchworth Gate/Baldock Bypass) and B197 London Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Mobbsbury Way, Stevenage from its junction with the road leading to Nos.1-14 Ross Court north eastwards for a distance of approximately 109m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Mobbsbury Way, Chells Way, A1155 Fairlands Way, B1037 Fairlands Way and Mobbsbury Way.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Grove Road, Hitchin from a point 45 metres north east of its junction with Water Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 16m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Grove Road, A505 (Nightingale Road/Bunyan Road/Fishponds Road), A600 Bedford Road, The Mead, Bury Mead Road and Grove Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 19 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
