(Briarwood Avenue, Holland on Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Briarwood Avenue, Holland On Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Fleetwood Avenue to its junction with Park Boulevard a distance of approximately 280m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th August 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2393492 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Fleetwood Avenue, Park Boulevard and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 23rd July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Ellis Road, Clacton on Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ellis Road, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring from its junction with Beatrice Road to its junction with West Avenue a distance of approximately 125m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th August 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2394208 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via West Avenue, Wash Lane, Vicarage Gardens, Beatrice Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 23rd July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Holland Road, Frinton On Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Third Avenue to its junction with Fourth Avenue a distance of approximately 100m.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th August 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2399245 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Third Avenue, The Esplanade, Fourth Avenue and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 23rd July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, District of Tendring)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) & (Broadway/ Meadow Way/Beach Crescent, Jaywick) (Temporary Suspension of One Way) (No.14) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Tendring as specified in the Schedule.

  2. To temporarily suspend the one-way restriction in that length of Broadway, Jaywick in the District of Tendring, from the junction of Beach Crescent to the junction of Meadow Way as detailed in “The Urban District of Clacton (Broadway (Part), Jaywick) (One-Way) Order, 1962” for the duration of the above closures.

  3. To temporarily suspend the one-way restriction in that length of Meadow Way, Jaywick in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Broadway to its junction with Beach Crescent as detailed in “The Urban District of Clacton (Meadow Way and Beach Crescent Jaywick) (One-Way Traffic Working) Order, 1965” for the duration of the above closures.

  4. To temporarily suspend the one-way restriction in that length of Beach Crescent, Jaywick in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Broadway to its junction with Meadow Way as detailed in “The Urban District of Clacton (Meadow Way and Beach Crescent Jaywick) (One-Way Traffic Working) Order, 1965” for the duration of the above closures.

    1. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway on the above lengths of road, for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

    “The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary “No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time” restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

    The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 23rd July 2026; exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

    (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

    Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

    Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Lancaster Gardens West, Clacton On Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Albert Gardens to its junction with Marine Parade East a distance of approximately 240m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th July 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2402859 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

    An alternative route is available via Albert Gardens, Lancaster Gardens East, Marine Parade East and vice versa.

    The Order came into effect on 9th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

    (Vicarage Lane, Walton on the Naze)

    (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

    Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

    Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Vicarage Lane, Walton On The Naze in the District of Tendring from its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction.

    The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th July 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03768200931 – Anglian Water Business (National)). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while lining works are undertaken by Anglian Water Business (National).

    Alternative routes are available via:

    1. Vicarage Lane, Alfred Terrace Service Road, Alfred Terrace, High Street.

    2. High Street, B1034, High Street and vice versa.

    The Order came into effect on 9th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
