NOTICE OF MODIFICATION
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(HALIFAX ROAD AREA, BRIERFIELD, PENDLE BOROUGH) (ROAD HUMPS)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980, Lancashire County Council proposed to introduce the above road humps. Following consultation carried out between 10th July 2026 and 7th August 2026, it is now intended to modify the proposal as titled above, as set out below.
Remove existing speed humps in the following lengths of road:
a) Commercial Street, Brierfield, from a point 24.98 metres east of its junction with the Centreline of Arthur Street for a distance of 5 metres in an easterly direction.
b) Chapel Street, Brierfield, from a point 23.19 metres east of its junction with the Centreline of Arthur Street for a distance of 5 metres in an easterly direction.

A copy of the relevant notice and plan, indicating the proposal may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of the Pendle Borough Council, No1 Market Street, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 9LU and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
