Hanway Road Car Park - Off Street Car Park Order
What is happening?
THE PORTSMOUTH CITY COUNCIL (HANWAY ROAD CAR PARK) (OFF STREET CAR PARK) ORDER 2025
1. Notice is hereby given that the Portsmouth City Council made the above Order on 13 July 2026. The effect of the Order will be to:
a. Introduce a time limit for Hanway Road car park (car park north of Little Arthur Street) of 2 hours, no return within 4 hours Monday-Saturday 8am - 6pm. (no time limit would apply for disabled blue badge holders).
2. Copies of the Notice, made Order and Statement of Reasons are available to view on Portsmouth City Council’s website: Search 'Traffic Regulation Orders 2026’ at
Alternatively, they can be viewed at the Civic Offices, Guildhall Square, PO1 2AL, Monday to Friday between 9am - 4pm. Printed copies can be obtained by calling 023 9260 6480.
3. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of the Order, make application for this purpose to the High Court.
4. This Order comes into operation on 20 July 2026.
