TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C726 RED HILL, ALDHAM
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C726 Red Hill, Aldham from Red Hill Cottage for 278 metres southbound to facilitate ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the road from the B8407 to the C724, The Street, Ipswich Road, Elmsett Road, Burstall Hill, Ipswich Road, Church Hill, The Street, Burstall Road, the A1071 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 27/07/2026 - 29/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

FROM WINDING PIECE TO BOYDLANDS, CAPEL ST MARY
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4327 footway from Winding Piece to Boydlands, Capel St Mary to facilitate a gas mains replacement scheme. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
The diversion route will be Boydlands, Vine Walk and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 27/07/2026 - 09/08/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be Bury Road, Hill Road, Fornham Lane, the A1302, the A14, Coalpit Lane, Colethorpe Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 27/07/2026 - 30/07/2026 from 8am - 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion routes will be:
- B1079, the B1438, the A1152, the A12 with no vice versa.
- A12, the B1438, Quay Street, Church Street, Market Hill with no vice versa.

- C566 Old Station Road, Mendlesham from Middy Close to Mendlesham Primary School
- Link Path between Glebe Way and Old Station Road, Mendlesham.
This is to facilitate the renewal of a water main. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
The diversion routes will be:
- for Old Station Road: Station Road, C566 from U5249 to U5218, Road from C409 to 5249, Road from C566 to the Parish Border, Debenham Road, the A140, Road from C566 to A140, Brockford Road, Church Road, Front Street and vice versa.
- for Link Path between Glebe Way and Old Station Road: Glebe Way, Church Street, Front Street, Old Station Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from:
- 27/07/2026 - 09/08/2026
- 10/08/2026 - 14/08/2026 from 8am - 5pm
- 15/08/2026 - 19/08/2026
