(Temporary Road Restriction and Traffic Regulation) Order 2026 - Temp/26/103

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate carriageway resurfacing, traffic signal & pedestrian crossing upgrades, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on any part of: Phase 1 (i) Crewe rd nth, from 16.5m north-west of the extended north-west kerbline of Ferry Rd, north-westwards for 60m; (ii) Crewe Toll roundabout, at Crewe Rd Nth; Phase 2 (iii) Crewe rd sth, from 19.5m southeast of the extended south-east kerbline of Ferry Rd, southeastwards for 60m; (iv) Crewe Toll roundabout, at Crewe Rd Sth; Phase 3 (v) ferry rd (east of Crewe Toll Roundabout), from 16m north-east of the extended north-east kerbline of Crewe Rd Sth, north-eastwards for 100m; (vi) Crewe Toll roundabout, at east junction with Ferry Rd; Phase 4 (vii) ferry rd (west of Crewe Toll Roundabout), from 19m south-west of the extended south-west kerbline of Crewe Rd Nth, south-westwards to the extended south-east kerbline of W Granton Access; (viii) Crewe Toll roundabout, at west junction with Ferry Rd; Phase 5 (ix) Telford rd, from 17m south-west of the extended south-west kerbline of Crewe Rd Sth, south-westwards for 150m; & (x) Crewe Toll roundabout, at Telford Rd; & (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on any part of: (i) Crewe rd nth, both sides, from 16.5m north-west of the extended north-west kerbline of Ferry Rd, northwestwards for 60m; (ii) Crewe rd sth, both sides, from 19.5m south-east of the extended south-east kerbline of Ferry Rd, south-eastwards for 60m; (iii) Crewe Toll roundabout, both sides, in its entirety; (iv) ferry rd, both sides, from 16m north-east of the extended north-east kerbline of Crewe Rd Sth, north-eastwards for 100m; (v) ferry rd, both sides, from 19m south-west of the extended south-west kerbline of Crewe Rd Nth, south-westwards to the extended south-east kerbline of W Granton Access; & (vi) Telford rd, both sides, from 17m south-west of the extended south-west kerbline of Crewe Rd Sth, south-westwards for 150m. Existing parking restrictions will be suspended on the affected sections of roads described in (b). The road closures for Phase 1 shall not be enacted at the same time as Phase 2, Phase 3, Phase 4 & Phase 5. The road closures for Phase 2 shall not be enacted at the same time as Phase 1, Phase 3, Phase 4 or Phase 5. The road closures for Phase 3 shall not be enacted at the same time as Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 4 or Phase 5. The road closures for Phase 4 shall not be enacted at the same time as Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 or Phase 5. The road closures for Phase 5 shall not be enacted at the same time as Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 & Phase 4. The alternatives routes for through vehicular traffic in relation to the road closures are: Phase 1 (i) Crewe rd nth; & (ii) Crewe Toll roundabout - Crewe Rd Nth, W Granton Rd, W Granton Access, Ferry Rd & Crewe Toll Roundabout; Phase 2 (iii) Crewe rd sth; & (iv) Crewe Toll roundabout - Crewe Rd Sth, Carrington Rd, E Fettes Ave, Ferry Rd & Crewe Toll Roundabout; Phase 3 (v) ferry rd (east of Crewe Toll Roundabout); & (vi) Crewe Toll roundabout - Ferry Rd, E Fettes Ave, Carrington Rd, Crewe Rd Sth & Crewe Toll Roundabout; Phase 4 (vii) ferry road (west of Crewe Toll Roundabout); & (viii) Crewe Toll roundabout - W Granton Access, W Granton Rd, Crewe Rd Nth & Crewe Toll Roundabout; & Phase 5 (ix) Telford rd; & (x) Crewe Toll roundabout - Telford Rd, Hillhouse Rd, Queensferry Rd, Craigleith Rd, Crewe Rd Sth & Crewe Toll Roundabout. The Order shall have effect from 20/07/26 to 09/10/26.
