Henfold Lane (D301) South Holmwood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 15 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Henfold Lane (D301) Beare Green. Alternative Route: Blackbrook Road, Red Lane, Brockhamhurst Road, Leigh Road, Shellwood Road, Broad Lane, Parkgate Road, and Henfold Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate telecom utility works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents, businesses and emergency services will be maintained at all times; during working hours (8am to 6pm) such access will be under direction of site operatives, outside of working hours access will be maintained via the alternative route.
Picketts Lane (D355) Salfords and Kings Mill Lane (D355) Redhill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026
On 15 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in; (a) the entire length of Picketts Lane (D355) Salfords; (b) that length of Kings Mill Lane (D355) Redhill as extends from its junction with (D355) Masons Bridge Road to its junction with the access to the property known as “Staplehurst Farm” and; (c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Reigate and Banstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2026” insofar as it affects that length of road described in part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route: (1) Axes Lane, New House Lane, and Crossoak Lane, or this route in reverse; (2) Masons Bridge Road, Axes Lane, Green Lane, Moats Lane, Crab Hill Lane, Kings Cross Lane, and Kings Mill Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole testing and aerial cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Meath Green Lane (D334) Horley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 13 July 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Meath Green Lane (D334) Horley as extends from the access for “Meath Green House” to its junction with Malt House Lane (X9284); and 2. Suspend “The Surrey County Council Meath Green Lane (D334) Horley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” insofar as it relates to the road in 1. above.
Alternative route – Horley Row, A23 (Brighton Road, Balcombe Road (clockwise only) and Bonehurst Road), Lodge Lane and Meath Green Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate footway construction and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out over multiple phases during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 July 2026 for 3 months. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Station Road East (C81) Oxted Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 15 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Station Road East (C81) Oxted as extends from its junction with (X1234) Eden Place to its junction with (D444) Bluehouse Lane. Alternative Route: Bluehouse Lane, Gresham Road, and Station Road East, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 36 days, in 3 phases, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Crabtree Lane (D2546) Bookham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 15 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the northbound carriageway of Crabtree Lane (D2546) Bookham as extends from its junction with the property known as “Pippins” to its junction with (A246) Leatherhead Road. Alternative Route: Crabtree Lane, Blackthorne Road, Downs Way, and (A246) Leatherhead Road. This Order is required to facilitate traffic light refurbishment works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 19 days and to be completed as soon as possible within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no vehicular access through the closure, and all traffic, including emergency service vehicles will be required to use the signed diversion route. Brighton Road (A217) and Reigate Road (A240) Burgh Heath Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Management Order 2026
On 15 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to; (a) prohibit vehicles that are travelling on the southbound carriageway of Reigate Road (A240) Burgh Heath from turning left on to (A217) Brighton Road. Alternative Route: Southbound on (A217) Brighton Road, (A217) Brighton Road (Roundabout) and northbound on (A217) (A217) Brighton Road; (b) Prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding at a speed greater than 30 MPH in that length of; (b) the northbound carriageway of Brighton Road (A217) Burgh Heath as extends from its junction with (D1037) Oatlands Road and for a distance of 130 metres; (c) the southbound carriageway of Brighton Road (A217) Burgh Heath as extends from No.17 The Parade and for a distance of 160 metres; (d) Suspend “The Borough of Reigate and Banstead (A217 Brighton Road, Burgh Heath/ Lower Kingswood) (40m.p.h Speed Limit) Order 1996 and/or any Speed Limit Order made or having effect as if made under Sections 82, 83 and/or 84 of the Act insofar as affects that length of road described in this Notice. This Temporary Traffic Management Order is required to facilitate a full refurbishment on signal traffic works for, or on behalf of Yunex Traffic and Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 26 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm during the 18-month period of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 27 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and speed limit, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. For sub-paragraph (a) above: Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no vehicular access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure. For sub-paragraph (b)(c)(d) above: The speed limit imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.
East Street (D2557) Bookham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) East Street (D2557) Bookham as extends from its junction with (D265) Lower Road to its junction with (X8212) Forge Court; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council East Street (D2557) Bookham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” in its entirety. Alternative Route: Lower Road, The Lorne, Hawkwood Rise, (A246) Guildford Road, and East Street, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate spine cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates, if required, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Fortyfoot Road (D2591) Leatherhead Temporary Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles at any time on; (a) the north westbound carriageway of Fortyfoot Road (D2591) Leatherhead from its northern most junction of the gyratory of Fortyfoot Road to its junction with the access to the property known as “The Beeches”; (b) the south eastbound carriageway of Fortyfoot Road (D2591) Leatherhead as extends from its junction with its northern most junction of the gyratory of Fortyfoot Road in a south easterly then south westerly direction to its junction with the access to the property known as “Woodlands School”. This Temporary Order is required to facilitate delivery of a modular building for Woodlands School, and to provide a safe working zone for, or on behalf of Portakabin. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 11 August 2026. This temporary restriction will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).
How Lane (D1080) Chipstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of How Lane (D1080) Chipstead as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Spindles to its junction with the access to the property known as “Summerville”. Alternative Route: How Lane, Hollymead Road, Coulsdon Road, and How Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate mains water connection for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the signed diversion route. No sole access is affected by this closure.
Station Avenue (B2030) Caterham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the westbound carriageway of Station Avenue (B2030) Caterham as extends from its junction with its roundabout with (B2030) Godstone Road and for a distance of 46 metres along Station Avenue. Alternative Route: (B2030) Church Hill, (B2030) Church Road, Whyteleafe Road, Burntwood Lane, (A22) Wapes Lodge Roundabout, and (B2208) Croydon Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate mains water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no other vehicular access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Horsham Road (C49) Forest Green Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Horsham Road (C49) Forest Green as extends from its junction with Fernbank Close (X8072) to its junction with Ockley Road (B2127).
Alternative route – B2127 (Ockley Road), B2126 (Ockley Road), A29 (Stane Street), Okewood Hill, Honeywood Lane, Horsham Road and Walliswood Green Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate cabling, gully sucking and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 August 2026 for 2 days between the hours of 9.00pm and 6.00am. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Crossland Road (D1268) Redhill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Crossland Road (D1268) Redhill as extends from the northern boundary of “5 Crossland Road” to the southern boundary of “7 Crossland Road”.
Alternative route – Hillfield Road, A25 (Redstone Hill) and Cavendish Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate topography works, jetting, CCTV, site investigation and associated works. Tollgate Avenue (D1291) Redhill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tollgate Avenue (D1291) Redhill as extends from its junction with Horley Road (A23) to the western boundary of “2 Tollgate Avenue”.
Alternative route – Tollgate Avenue, A2044 (Woodhatch Road) and A23 (Horley Road), or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable SES Water to facilitate a new water connection and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 August 2026 for 5 days between the hours of 8.00am and 4.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services and residents will be maintained either side of but not through the works site. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
C57 Ifield Road, Charlwood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C57 Ifield Road, Charlwood that extends from the southern property boundary of “Oak Gates”, northwards for a distance of 100m. This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to carry out fibre cabling for a customer connection and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, businesses, emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of site operatives. Alternative route:- Ifield Road, The Street, Lowfield Heath Road, Bonnetts Lane, Charlwood Road and Ifield Road.
