NOTICE OF PROPOSALS
ANGUS COUNCIL (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND LOADING)
(ON-STREET PARKING) (DECRIMINALISED ENFORCEMENT) (No. 8) ORDER 202 x
Angus Council hereby propose to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose of:
• introducing ‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions to improve visibility and prevent obstructions at the following junctions:-
Arbirlot Road (B9127)/Keptie Road (B9095), Arbirlot Road West (B9127)/Bloomfield Road, Bloomfield Road/Bloomfield Crescent, Brechin Road/Warddykes Avenue, Kirkton Road/Park View, Ponderlaw Street/Academy Lane, Seaton Road/Dickmont Place, Seaton Road/Horologe Hill, Seaton Road/Seaton Place, all Arbroath;
Dronley Road/Sidlaw Gardens, Dronley Road/Blacklaw Drive, all Birkhill;
Duke Street/Double Dykes, Latch Road/St Andrew Street, Mountskip Road/Mountskip Crescent/Provost Road, all Brechin;
Balmachie Road/West Path/Terrace Road, James Street/Thomas Street, Newton Road/ Holyrood Street, Victoria Street/Kinloch Street, all Carnoustie;
Usan Road/Brownlow Place, Ferryden;

• introducing ‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions to relieve congestion and maintain general access and free traffic flow in the following roads:-
Academ y Lane, Park View, Bloomfield Road, Grant Road, Peasiehill Road, Seaton Road, all Arbroath;
Duke Street, Brechin;
Balfour Place, Braefoot, Collier Street, Gibson Street, Maule Street, Millar Street, Terrace Road, West Path, all Carnoustie;
Carseview Road, John Street, Myre Road, Sheriff Park Rise, all Forfar;
Main Road, Hillside;
Henry Street, South Street, all Kirriemuir;
Ferry Road, Marine Drive, Riverview Drive, all Monifieth;
Broomfield Road, North Esk Road (cul-de-sac at Nos. 68-76) , all Montrose.
• Introducing ‘No waiting, Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 5.30pm’ to prevent obstruction, relieve congestion and maintain free traffic flow in the following road:
Victoria Street, Monifieth.
• introducing a ‘No waiting, Mon-Fri, 8.30am - 9.30am and 3pm - 4pm’ to prevent obstruction, relieve congestion and maintain free traffic flow in the following road:-
Dronley Road, Birkhill.
• introducing a ‘Loading only’ restriction, Monday – Saturday, 8.30am – 5.30pm to relieve congestion and maintain general access and free traffic flow in the following road:
The Shore, Arbroath.
• Introducing a ‘No stopping’ (except Police) restriction, at all times, to relieve congestion and maintain access for Police vehicles in the following road:
North Burnside Street, Carnoustie
• removing a ‘No waiting at any time’ restriction to relieve congestion and maintain free traffic flow in the following road:-
South Ramsay Street, Monifieth.
• removing ‘No stopping’ restrictions, Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm to relieve congestion and maintain free traffic flow in the following roads:-
Latch Road, Brechin;
Coupar Angus Road, Muirhead.

Any person may, on or before 07 August 2026, object to the proposed Order by notice in writing to the Director of Infrastructure & Environment, Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar DD8 1AN or by email to Roads@angus.gov.uk. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate, and the grounds on which they are made.
