(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close West Parade. The Order will also introduce a prohibition of waiting at any time on the closed sections of West Parade suspending the residents parking bays.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst highway improvement works are undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 20 July 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will commence on or after 20 July 2026 and will take until 11 September 2026 to complete. North Parade to No, 1 West Parade will be closed for the entire duration of the works. Additional sections of West Parade will be closed in phases, Phase 2 between Trafalgar Road and Newlands Road and then Phase 3 between Newlands Road and North Parade.

(Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a prohibition of waiting between 0700-1700hrs daily on the north side of Greenway 43M east and 43M west of the construction access to the Greenway Junior School site.

Parking and waiting is prohibited in this location to allow unimpeded access for construction vehicles.

The Order will come into operation on 20 July 2026. It is anticipated the restriction will remain in place for 18months.
