(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Dankton Lane in Sompting from the A27 southwards to Rectory Farm Road.

The road closure is needed to allow highway improvements and drainage works to take place in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 3 August 2026 and remain in force until 31 October 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Shoreham-By-Sea: Ship Street)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Ship Street in Shoreham-By-Sea throughout its entire length.

The road closure is needed to allow repairs to sewer pipes to be carried out in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 3 August 2026 and remain in force until 21 August 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Sompting: Loose Lane)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Loose Lane in Sompting, from its junction with West Street to its junction with White Styles Road. The road closure is needed to allow footway improvement works to be carried out in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 20 July 2026 and remain in force until 7 August 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.
