TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH HERTFORD 062
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Hertford 062, from junction with Hertingfordbury Road, for an approximate distance of 15m.
Alternative route: on diversion route provided
The purpose of the Order is to enable utility works works to take place.
The section of Footpath will be closed on or after 17 July 2026 for up to 12 days, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHURCH LANE, WATTON AT STONE) ORDER NO.2 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Lane, Watton at Stone from a point 244m south east of its junction with Station Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 63m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Church Lane, Station Road, High Street, Perrywood Lane and Church Lane.
The Order is needed because brickwork/stone repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 1 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 7 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN WARE AND WORMLEY) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-
1. that length of A119 Hertford Road, Ware from its junction with A119 Amwell End north westwards and south westwards to its junction with A119 Ware Road, a distance of approximately 999m.
An alternative route will be via A119 London Road, A1170 (London Road/Amwell Hill/Pepper Hill), A10 Amwell Link Road, A10 (unnamed road), A414 (Rush Green Link/London Road) and A119 Ware Road.
2. that length of Myddleton Road, Ware from its junction with A119 Hertford Road south westwards to its junction with Warner Road, a distance of approximately 260m.
An alternative route will be via A119 Hertford Road, Scotts Road and Warner Road.
3. that length of The Ridgeway, Ware from its northernmost junction with Heath Drive south westwards, north westwards, south westwards, south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 394m.
An alternative route will be via Heath Drive.
4. that length of Wormley Lodge Close, Wormley from its junction with A1170 High Road north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 3 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 7 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Aston Lane, Aston from its junction with Stringers Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 87m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Stringers Lane, Benington Road, Broadwater Lane and Aston Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 3 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 9 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a left turn manoeuvre from St Andrews Street into Brewhouse Lane, Hertford (“the Roads”), whilst works are in progress.
An alternative route will be via St Andrews Street, B158 (Mill Bridge/The Wash/Parliament Square/Castle Street), the A414 Gascoyne Way roundabout, B158 Castle Street/ Parliament Square/The Wash/Mill Bridge), St Andrews Street and Brewhouse Lane.
The Order is needed because wall repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 3 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 6 months to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

An alternative route will be via Watton Road, Hertford Road, A602 Broadhall Way, B197 (Monkswood Way/London Road/Stevenage Road), Watton Road and C29 (unnamed road).
The Order is needed because vegetation removal works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 4 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B180 Hunsdon Road, Stanstead Abbotts from its junction with B181 Roydon Road north eastwards to its junction with Kitten Lane, a distance of approximately 283m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via B181 (Roydon Road/High Street/Station Road), A1170 (Pepper Hill/Amwell Hill/London Road/Viaduct Road), B1004 (Bridge Foot/Star Street/ Widbury Hill/Ware Road) and B180 Hunsdon Road/Widford Road/High Street/Stanstead Road/Hunsdon Road).
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED BETWEEN NO.161 AND NO.177 WHEATCROFT, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated between No.161 and No.177 Wheatcroft, Cheshunt from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.177 Wheatcroft northwards a distance of approximately 20m (“the Footpath”).
An alternative route will be via the footpath situated on the south side of No.177 Wheatcroft, Cheshunt Public Footpath No.068 and the footpath situated between No.161 and No.177 Wheatcroft.
The Order is needed because gas repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.
The Order will come into effect from 22 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 9 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN HODDESDON) ORDER NO.2 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cock Lane, Hoddesdon from its junction with the A1170 High Street roundabout north westwards for a distance of approximately 54m, except for access.
An alternative route will be via A1170 (High Street/High Road), Park Lane and Cock Lane.
2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from Yewlands Drive into A1170 High Street, Hoddesdon, whilst signs are in place.
An alternative route will be via A1170 (High Street/High Road), Bell Lane, Baas Hill, White Stubbs Lane, Cock Lane and A1170 High Street.
3. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from Cedar Green into A1170 High Street, whilst signs are in place.
An alternative route will be via A1170 (High Street/High Road), Bell Lane, Baas Hill, White Stubbs Lane, Cock Lane and A1170 High Street.
4. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from Yewlands into A1170 High Street, whilst signs are in place.
An alternative route will be via A1170 (High Street/High Road), Bell Lane, Baas Hill, White Stubbs Lane, Cock Lane and A1170 High Street.
5. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from Upper Marsh Lane into A1170 High Street, whilst signs are in place.
An alternative route will be via A1170 (High Street/High Road), Bell Lane, Baas Hill, White Stubbs Lane, Cock Lane and A1170 High Street.
6. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from Priory Close into A1170 High Street, whilst signs are in place.
An alternative route will be via A1170 (High Street/High Road), the Bell Lane roundabout and A1170 (High Road/High Street).
The Order is needed because gas main works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 20 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 8 weeks to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cherry Green Lane, Westmill from a point 586m north east of its junction with Cherry Green north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 100m (“the Road”), except for access.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telegraph pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 21 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B176 (High Street/Turners Hill), Cheshunt from its junction with Church Lane south eastwards, southwards and south westwards to its junction with the B198 College Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 715m (“the length of Roads”).
An alternative route will be via Church Lane, B156 Churchgate Road, Churchgate, College Road and B198 College Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Roads, whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

An alternative route will be via A10 (unnamed road), A414 (Rush Green Link/London Road/Gascoyne Way/Hertingfordbury Road/Cole Green Bypass/Hatfield Road/Hertford Road/Mount Pleasant Lane/Great North Road), the A1(M), the M25 and A10 (unnamed road)
or via A10 (unnamed road), the M25, the A1(M), A414 (Great North Road/Hertford Road/ Hatfield Road/Cole Green Bypass/Hertingfordbury Road/Gascoyne Way/London Road/ Rush Green Link) and A10 (unnamed road) or via A10 Hoddesdon Link Road, A1170(Dinant Link Road/Charlton Way/High Street/High Road), B176 (High Road/Cheshunt Wash/High Street/Turners Hill/Crossbrook Street/High Street) and A121 Winston Churchill Way.
