What is happening?

THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF DURHAM (DELVES LANE) (PROHIBITION & RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND LOADING) ORDER 2010

The Council intend to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32 & 35 and Pt. IV of Sch. 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended (“the Act”), the effect of which is to introduce ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restrictions on: a) The eastern side of Delves Lane, starting from the existing restrictions 1.3 metres north of No.4, Ramsay Terrace’s southern property boundary, for a distance of 37 metres in a north westerly direction into Percy Gardens. b) The west side of Delves Lane, starting from a point 4 metres south of No.4, Ramsay Terrace’s southern property boundary, for a distance of 65 metres in a north-westerly direction into Redmire Drive. c) The northern side of Percy Gardens, starting from Hadene’s western property boundary, for a distance of 69.5 metres in a north-westerly direction extending into Percy Gardens. d) The western side of Redmire Drive, starting from a point adjacent to No. 98, Redmire Drive’s frontage, for a distance of 65.5 metres in a north easterly direction. e) Both sides of the junction from Chapel Drive onto Delves Lane, starting from a point 4 metres east of the western boundary of No. 6 Chapel Drive, for a distance of 11.5 metres. Also To introduce ‘Restricted Waiting and Restricted Loading/Unloading Mon – Fri 8am - 6pm’ restrictions on: The northern side of Lea Side, starting from the existing restrictions, for a distance 3.8 metres in a south-westerly direction extending onto Delves Lane. All other restrictions in this locality will remain unaffected. A copy of the draft Order & supporting documents may be viewed at Consett Library during normal opening hours, via the Council website.
