What is happening?

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U2188 LITTLE CLIFTON, U2352 AND U7052 WEST STREET FLETCHERTOWN) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:

1. U2188 Little Clifton, from its junction with Sycamore Garth, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 40m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U2188, U2190, C2027 and C2065.

Duration: From 20 July 2026 for approx. 5 days (Ref: TTROC/18884)

2. U2352 West Street, Fletchertown, extending for 10m either side of the centre line of its junction with West Street Spur; and

3. U7052 West Street Spur, Fletchertown, from its junction with West Street, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 30m.

Alternative Route for 2 and 3 above: via the unrestricted sections of West Street, the B5299 and Front Street.

Duration: From 27 July 2026 for approx. 8 days (Ref: TTROC/18859)

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 20 July 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
