(STATION LANE, FEATHERSTONE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 209) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for rail corrosion inspections to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Station Lane, Featherstone 20 metres either side of the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Station Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Station Lane, A645, B6133, Green Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 18th July 2026 at 23.55 hours to 19th July 2026 at 08.50 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(HIGH STREET, CASTLEFORD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 211) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for replacement of high level lighting at Castleford signal box to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: High Street, Castleford, 20 metres either side of the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of High Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Lumley Street, A639, A6082, Methley Road, Wood Street, Albion Street & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 23rd July 2026 at 23.00 hours to 24th July 2026 at 03.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 220) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for carriageway patching to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Elizabeth Drive, Castleford from the junction with Fryston Road to the junction with Woodside/Parkside, between house numbers 146 to 138b. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Elizabeth Drive.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Fryston Road, Leyland Road, Woodside & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th July 2026 between 07.30 hours to 15.30 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(ST HELEN’S PLACE, CASTLEFORD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 204) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for gas main replacement works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: St Helen’s Place, Castleford. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of St Helen’s Place.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th July 2026 to 31st July 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(KERSHAW AVENUE, CASTLEFORD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 230) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for a new connection, Northern Powergrid to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Kershaw Avenue, Castleford for approximately 10 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Kershaw Avenue.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Kershaw Avenue, Graham Drive, Fryston Road, Kershaw Avenue & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 5th August 2026 to 11th August 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(CREWE AVENUE, KNOTTINGLEY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 214) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to replace pipes and 2 new connections to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Crewe Avenue, Knottingley. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Crewe Avenue.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Wentcliffe Road, Houghton Avenue, Wordsworth Drive & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 3rd August 2026 to 28th August 2026, between 08.00 hours and 18.00 hours, residents access to be maintained where possible, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(MANOR VIEW, GLASSHOUGHTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 234) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for non intrusive manhole scanning and CCTV works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Manor View, Glasshoughton from outside number 12 to outside number 2. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Manor View.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Gregory Road backs, Manor Grove, Gregory Road backs & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 5th August 2026 to 6th August 2026 between 19.00 hours to 06.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(MANOR GROVE, GLASSHOUGHTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 235) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for non intrusive manhole scanning and CCTV works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Manor Grove, Glasshoughton from the side of number 31 to the side of number 2 Gregory Road. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Manor Grove.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Gregory Road backs, Manor View, Gregory Road backs & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 6th August 2026 to 7th August 2026 between 19.00 hours to 06.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
