(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 210) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for rail corrosion inspections to be carried out as follows:Network Rail vegetation works and installation of anti vandal palisade fencing to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Balne Lane, Wakefield outside number 4 to junction of Cliff Park Avenue. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Balne Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Balne Lane, Alverthorpe Road, Westgate End, Westgate, Mulberry Way & Burton Street, Cliff Parade, Drury Lane, Westgate, Westgate End, Alverthorpe Road, Balne Lane.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 22nd July 2026 to 24th July 2026 between 22.00 hours and 06.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(WOOD LANE, OVERTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 212) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to undertake fibre cable from telegraph pole to telegraph pole using mobile elevated work platform to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Wood Lane, Overton for approximately 500 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Wood Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Judy Haigh Lane, Edge Road, Thornhill Road, New Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 20th July 2026 to 21st July 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(HILL TOP ROAD, NEWMILLERDAM)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 213) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for telecom apparatus installation to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Hill Top Road, Newmillerdam from the junction with Barnsley Road to Hill Top Court. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Hill Top Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Barnsley Road, Chevet Lane, Lodge Lane, Hill Top Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 20th July 2026 to 24th July 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to install new water main to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Cross Hands Lane, Wragby from

Doncaster Road to Went Lane, full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Cross Hands Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Went Lane, Ackworth Road, Purston Lane, Pontefract Road, Barnsley Road, Wakefield Road, Doncaster Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 18th July 2026 to 2nd August 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 216) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for water valve works to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Waterton Road, Wakefield from number 48 to the junction with George A Green Road. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Waterton Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: George A Green Road, Dewsbury Road, Townley Road, Waterton Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 21st July 2026 at 09.30 hours to 29th July 2026 at 15.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(MOLLY HURST LANE, WOOLLEY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 217) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to locate and clear blockages on existing Openreach network for the roll out of fibre to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Molly Hurst Lane, Woolley from outside Yew Tree House to the junction with Church Street. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Molly Hurst Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion. No through road, escorted access for residents will be provided.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 20th July 2026 to 22nd July 2026 between 08.00 hours to 17.00 hours and will be removed when not in use, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(INGS ROAD, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 218) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds Northern Powergrid to repair public lighting cable fault to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Ings Road, Wakefield at the railway bridge at the side of Halfords. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Ings Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Ings Road, Kirkgate.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th July 2026 between 06.30 hours and 17.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 219) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to locate and clear blockages on existing Openreach network for the roll out of fibre to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Finkle Street, Woolley from outside Hunters Lodge to the junction with High Street. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Finkle Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: High Street, The Green, Backhouse Lane, Finkle Street & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 20th July 2026 to 22nd July 2026 between 08.00 hours to 17.00 hours and will be removed when not in use, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(QUEEN ELIZABETH ROAD, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 231) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for a new electrical connection, Northern Powergrid to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Queen Elizabeth Road, Wakefield for approximately 50 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Queen Elizabeth Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Queen Elizabeth Road, Irwin Crescent, Woodhouse Road, Greenwood Road, Stanley Road, Queen Elizabeth Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 1st August 2026 to 8th August 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(BRAMLEY LANE, BRETTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 232) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for Gatic cover replacement to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Bramley Lane, Bretton for approximately 260 metres across the M1 overbridge. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Bramley Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Woolley Low Moor Lane, Dennington Lane, Bretton Lane, Bramley Lane & vice versa. Pedestrians to be marshalled through work area. Woolley Edge Services access routes will be maintained as will access for emergency vehicles.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 3rd August 2026 at 07.00 hours to 6th November 2026 at 23.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(LAKESIDE ESTATE, RYHILL)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 233) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for new electric connection and fuse upgrade to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Lakeside Estate, Ryhill outside number 39. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Lakeside Estate.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion. Access maintained for residents.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 4th August 2026 to 10th August 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(LEEDS ROAD (SERVICE ROAD), LOFTHOUSE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 239) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for new electrical connection to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Leeds Road (service road), Lofthouse outside number 26. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Leeds Road (service road).

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Leeds Road A61, Park View & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 3rd August 2026 to 7th August 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
