ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

(CARLTON STREET, HALIFAX)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Yorkshire Water have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Carlton Street from its junction with Bull Close Lane to No. 18 Carlton Street for a distance of approximately 40 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Harrison Road, Blackwall, Bull Close Lane. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 20th July 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 24th July 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(SOWERBY NEW ROAD, SOWERBY BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Sapphire Utility Services Ltd have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Sowerby New Road from its junction with Sowerby Street to Boston Street for a distance of approximately 600 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Sowerby New Road, Fore Lane, Quarry Hill and vice versa Access will be maintained for residents. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 20th July 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 11th October 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(PARK LANE, SIDDAL)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Total Resources have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Park Lane from No. 75 Park Lane to Rosemary Hill Farm for a distance of approximately 83 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Park Lane, Backhold Lane, Cinderhills Lane, Rosemary Lane, Change Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 21st July 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 21st July 2026. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:00 & 17:00.

(FOOTPATH BRIGHOUSE 056, BRIGHOUSE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by BAM Nuttall Ltd intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Footpath Brighouse 056 from its junction with Bradford Road to Summerfield Avenue for a distance of approximately 300 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to persons carrying out works on or near the footpath. The alternative route is via Bradford Road, Summerfield Avenue. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 3rd August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 6 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 30th October 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(MARY STREET, BRIGHOUSE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Clear View Service Group intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Mary Street from its junction with Richard Street to Lee Street for a distance of approximately 82.54 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Richard Street, Thornhill Bridge Lane, Lee Street. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 3rd August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 7th August 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(SHAW WOOD ROAD, TODMORDEN)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by JN Civils intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Shaw Wood Road from lamp column 11 to lamp column 12 for a distance of approximately 20 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via A646 Halifax Road, Oldroyd Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 3rd August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 5th August 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(ST. STEPHENS STREET, COPLEY)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Yorkshire Water intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of St Stephens Street from No. 67 to Mill Street for a distance of approximately 35 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Copley Lane, Calder Terrace, Mill Lane. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 3rd August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 7th August 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(THORNHILL BRIDGE LANE, BRIGHOUSE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Clear View Service Group intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Thornhill Bridge Lane from Lee Street to Barber Street for a distance of approximately 59.62 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Richard Street, Mary Street, Lee Street. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 3rd August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 7th August 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
