THE A52 TRUNK ROAD (RADCLIFFE ON TRENT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A52 Trunk Road, at Radcliffe on Trent, in the County of Nottinghamshire to allow works to be carried out by National Grid.
The effect of the Order will be to close the eastbound and westbound carriageways of the A52 between the junction with Stragglethorpe Road and the junction with Cropwell Road, at Radcliffe on Trent.
The work will be carried out overnight between 20:00 hours and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Wednesday 5 August 2026 and continue for approximately for two nights. The Order will come into force on 31 July 2026.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, or in connection with the work will be exempt from the closure.
A diversion route via an alternative junction of the A52, the A606 and the A46 will be signed.

THE A52 TRUNK ROAD (GAMSTON TO HOLME PIERREPONT, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an Order on the A52 Trunk Road, between Gamston and Holme Pierrepont in the County of Nottinghamshire, to enable maintenance works to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to
(1) close –
(a) the bus stop area adjacent to the eastbound carriageway of the A52, opposite Bassingfield Lane;
(b) the bus stop area adjacent to the westbound carriageway of the A52, approximately 16 metres west of the centrepoint of its junction with Bassingfield Lane, near Bassingfield; and
(c) the layby adjacent to the eastbound carriageway of the A52, approximately 255 metres west of the start of the exit slip road leading to the service area near Holme Pierrepoint; and
(d) the layby adjacent to the westbound carriageway of the A52, approximately 105 metres west of its junction with Bassingfield Lane, near Bassingfield, and
(2) prohibit any vehicle to enter or leave the westbound carriageway of the A52, at its junction with Bassingfield Lane, near Bassingfield.
The work is expected to start on Wednesday 29 July 2026 and continue for approximately two nights. The bus stop areas and side road prohibition will be in operation overnight between 20:00 and 06:00 hours.
The layby closures will be in operation from 14:00 hours on Wednesday 29 July 2026, for twenty-four hours per day, for the duration of the works. The Order will come into force on 22 July 2026.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closures and prohibition.
A diversion route via an alternative junction of the A52 will be signed.

THE A453 TRUNK ROAD (DISEWORTH TO BARTON IN FABIS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC IN LAYBYS) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an order on the A453 Trunk Road, between Diseworth and Barton in Fabis, in the Counties of Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire, to enable routine maintenance works to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to close any layby adjacent to the northbound and southbound carriageways of the A453 between its roundabout junction with the A42 and the M1 Junction 23a slip roads (Finger Farm Roundabout), near Diseworth, and its roundabout junction with Green Street (Mill Hill Roundabout), at Barton in Fabis.
The layby closures will be carried out on weekdays only between 13:00 hours and 06:00 hours and are expected to start on Tuesday 28 July 2026 and continue for approximately two weeks. The Order will come into force on 21 July 2026.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority, ambulance or traffic officer purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closures.

THE A52 TRUNK ROAD (WILFORD TO GAMSTON, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION AND PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO.2) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) has revoked an existing Order and made a new Order on the A52 Trunk Road between Wilford and Gamston, in Nottinghamshire, to enable vegetation clearance and utility works to be carried out, in advance of junction improvement works.
The effect of the Order, will be to –
(1) impose a speed restriction of 40 miles per hour on the eastbound and westbound carriageways of the A52 between a point 850 metres northwest of its roundabout junction with Loughborough Road and the A60 (Nottingham Knight Roundabout), at Ruddington, and a point 400 metres northeast of its roundabout junction with Melton Road, Flawforth Lane and the A606 Melton Road (Wheatcroft Island) at Edwalton, including those roundabouts; and
(2) close –
(a) the eastbound carriageway of the A52 from its junction with the link road leading to the southbound carriageway of the A453 Clifton Lane, at Wilford, to its roundabout junction with the A6011, at Gamston, including that roundabout, Nottingham Knight Roundabout and Wheatcroft Island;
(b) the westbound carriageway of the A52 from its roundabout junction with the A6011, at Gamston, to its merge with the northbound carriageway of the A453 Clifton Lane, at Wilford;
(c) any layby adjacent to the lengths of the A52 described in (2)(a) and (2)(b) above.
(d) the link road leading to the eastbound carriageway of the A52 from Clifton Lane, at Wilford.
The work is expected to start on Sunday 26 July 2026 and continue for approximately six months.
The carriageway closures will be carried out overnight between 20:00 hours and 06:00 hours, there will also be two full weekend closures carried out during this period.
The speed limit and layby closures will be in operation for twenty-four hours per day for the duration of the work. The Order will come into force on 20 July 2026.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes will be exempt from the speed restrictions and closures. Vehicles being used for special forces purposes will be exempt from the speed restrictions, and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closures.
