(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING)

ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from travelling along:

a) Old Priory Lane in both directions between the junctions of B3034 Warfield Street and turning circle on Old Priory Lane

The alternative route for vehicles affected by this Order will be via: N/A No through route

The alternative route for pedestrians affected by this Order will be via: Hedge Lane, Melody Lane (through new development site) and this route reverted

The purpose of this Order is to ensure public & worker safety while Taylor Wimpy contractors undertake S278 works to adapt USRN into a cycleway / footpath as part of the agreed scheme

The proposed Order will come into operation on the 10th August 2026, and its maximum duration will be 6 months. However, it is currently planned that the road closure will be in place on the 10th August – 28th August 2026

This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road.
