The Borough of Stevenage (Gates Way, Stevenage) (Restriction of Waiting) Order 2026 is proposed to avoid danger to persons or traffic using the road and prevent the likelihood of any such danger arising; to facilitate the passage of traffic on the road; preserve and improve the amenity of the area; and prevent and relieve the congestion of traffic. Its effect is prohibiting parking throughout Gates Way by the placement of double yellow lines.
The Borough of Stevenage (High Street, Stevenage)(Loading Bay) Order 2026 is proposed to prevent and relieve the congestion of traffic, avoid danger to persons or traffic using the road and improve the amenity of the area by creating a loading bay on the western side of the street outside The Old Bank.
The Borough of Stevenage (High Street, Stevenage)(Disabled Person's Vehicles Parking Places) Order 2026 is proposed to prevent and relieve the congestion of traffic, avoid danger to persons or traffic using the road and improve the amenity of the area by creating a disabled parking bay (limited to two hours parking, with no return in three hours) at the southern end of the bus stop on the eastern side of the road, near to the Millennium Gardens.
The Borough of Stevenage (Old Town, Stevenage)(Parking Places) Order 2020 (Amendment) Order 2026 is proposed to prevent and relieve the congestion of traffic, and improve the amenity of the area by creating parking bays in those parts of the High Street between Gates Way and Trinity Road that are not subject to other parking control. These are proposed to allow waiting for up to two hours (with no return within three hours), with an exception for permit holders. Residents of this part of the High Street would be eligible to apply for up to two parking permits for vehicles that they own, for up to two caring visitor parking permits if they need to be visited by carers, and up to 12 sets of 20 visitor vouchers. Having a parking permit or visitor voucher would not guarantee a parking space, but would enable parking for longer periods and re-parking within three hours. The costs for parking permits and visitor vouchers would be:

|---|---|---|
| Resident Parking Permit for first vehicle at the address | £68 per year or £40 per six months | £62 per year or £34 per six months |
