What is happening?
REDCAR AND CLEVELAND BOROUGH COUNCIL
VARIOUS EVENTS IN THE BOROUGH (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026
Not less than 7 days herefrom the Council intends to make an Order the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended in order to facilitate the holding of a relevant event.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in the lengths of road specified in the schedule below. Access will be available to residents’ properties within the closure. Diversions will be in operation.
The Order will come into operation on Sunday 26th July 2026 and remain in operation for a period of 18 Months, closures will operate at the times and on the dates below and as indicated by road signs.
SCHEDULE
Saltburn Food Festival 26.7.26 from 06:00 to 20:00 hours
Station Square, Saltburn full length; Station Street, Saltburn full length; Milton Street, Saltburn from its junction with Coral Street to its junction with Amber Street and all junctions thereon; Dundas Street East, Saltburn from its junction with Stanhope Street to its junction with Station Square; Dundas Street West, Saltburn from its junction with Bath Street to its junction with Station Square.
Between The Tides Festival 22.8.26 and 23.8.26 from 08:00 hours to 20:00 hours
Kirkleatham Village Redcar from Kirkleatham Lane from the southern junction with A1042 to Kirkleatham School Junction, Redcar; Plantation Road Redcar from junction with Kirkleatham Lane in an easterly direction for approx. 300 metres.
Redcar Running Festival 27.9.26 from 08:00 to 17:00 hours
Majuba Road, for its full length to junction of Newcomen Terrace – Entrance point, immediately North of Cleveland Golf Club – Entrance to Redcar Beach Caravan Park – Junction (northbound) with Newcomen Road; Newcomen Terrace, for its full length to junction with Esplanade to Junction with Arthur Street and all junctions thereon; Esplanade, for its full length to junction with Granville Terrace and Junction with Dundas Street and all junctions thereon; Granville Terrace for its full length to junction with Coast Road Roundabout; Coast Road, for its full length south to Outwood Academy Bydales School, Marske by the Sea Junction at Zetland Park Roundabout with Coast Road South and all junctions thereon.
