What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE –

CHURCH ROAD, STEEP, EAST HAMPSHIRE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Church Road starting from a point 310 metres West from its junction with Waterworks Road and continuing to a point 130 metres Northwest on Church Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Church Road, Waterworks Road, School Lane, Inmans Lane, Ramshill, Tor Way, College Street, Station Road, Bell Hill.

DURATION OF ORDER: from Monday 27th July 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 2 days and this order will be in operation 24 hours a day).

The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for South East Water to renew stopcock in carriageway.
