1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate the staging of the Chariot Festival event, the Council of the London Borough of Enfield have made the Enfield (Church Street N9 Area) (Special Event) (Temporary Restriction of Traffic) Order 2026 under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The general effect of the Order will be to introduce the following restrictions between 8am and 4pm on 19 July 2026 (and only when necessary, during this time period to ensure the safe progression of the Chariot Festival) to:

(a) temporarily prohibit waiting and loading on both sides of the roads specified in Schedule 1; and

(b) temporarily prohibit traffic from entering or proceeding on the sections of road specified in Schedule 2.

3. The Order provides that the restrictions will not apply to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the participation of the event;

(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory Undertaker in an emergency, or emergency statutory works; or

(c) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.
