TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC000 151087329 : The City of Manchester (Downing Street, Ardwick Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Right-Hand Turn) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit the right -hand turn from Downing Street onto Grosvenor Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be Downing Street, Ardwick Green South, Hamsell Road, Wadeson Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a new electrical connection for Mayfield. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 1st August 2026 to 9th August 2026. The order shall come into operation on 1st August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
ORDER NO. MCC 151304038: The City of Manchester (Woodhouse Park Resurfacing July, Woodhouse Park Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Shadow Moss Road, Threapwood Road, Meliden Crescent and Cornishway. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Signed locally. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate resurfacing works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 29th July 2026 to the 21st November 2026. The order shall come into operation on the 29th July 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
