TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS – ALBERT EMBANKMENT SERVICE ROAD AND SALAMANCA STREET
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, to enable carriageway resurfacing works, the Council of the London Borough of Lambeth intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to:
(a) temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding and waiting, including waiting for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle in that length of Albert Embankment Service Road between its junctions with Black Prince Road and Albert Embankment;
(b) temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Salamanca Street between its junction with Albert Embankment Service Road and 43 metres south east of that junction;
(c) temporarily suspend the free parking places and loading place on Albert Embankment Service Road between its junctions with Black Prince Road and Albert Embankment;
(d) temporarily close to pedestrians the footway on the east side of Albert Embankment Service Road between its junctions with Salamanca Street and Albert Embankment;
(e) temporarily close to pedestrians the lengths of footway linking Albert Embankment to Albert Embankment Service Road.
2. The alternative routes for affected vehicles and pedestrians for the measures outlined in 1(a) and 1(b) would be available via Black Prince Road, Vauxhall Walk and Salamanca Street, and via Salamanca Street, Vauxhall Walk and Tinworth Street.
3. The Order would come into force on 3 August 2026 and continue in force for a maximum duration of 6 months, to allow for contingencies, or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
