What is happening?

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE

(Moreton Road, Buckingham) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2026 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Moreton Rd for approx. 150M. Alternative route: A43, A5, A422 vice versa. The closure is required whilst a new water connection commences on 23 July 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 23 July 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Long Meadow, Aylesbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2026 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Long Meadow for approx. 129M. Alternative route: Long Meadow, Camborne Ave and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Conventional Resurfacing commences on 24 July 2026. The proposed Order will come into operation on 24 July 2026, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Public Footpath No.1 (Part) Parish of Oakley) Public Path Diversion Order 2026 made on 3 July 2026, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, will divert the public footpath running from SP66298-11318 NE for 275m to SP66448-11549, as shown by a bold continuous line on the Order map, to a line running from SP66223-11412 NE for 263M to SP66448-11549, as shown by a bold broken line on the Order map and having a width of 2m throughout and will include a BS 5709 compliant self-closing pedestrian gate at SP66223-11412.  Full details of the Order are available at Reception, Buckinghamshire Council, Walton St Offices, Walton St, Aylesbury, HP20 1UA and at Long Crendon Community Library during normal opening hours. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased from the Council at a cost of £5.00 by writing to the Definitive Map and Highway Searches Team at the address given below. Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing stating the grounds on which they are made to the Definitive Map and Highway Searches Team, 6th Floor, Buckinghamshire Council, Walton St Offices, Walton St, Aylesbury, HP20 1UA or email row@buckinghamshire.gov.uk by no later than 12 August 2026. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order. Under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council is obliged to make any representations received in response to this notice open to public inspection.
