What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:
WINDERTON ROAD, WINDERTON LAND & SALTWAY LANE, WINDERTON
Order Effect: Roads closed to vehicular traffic as follows: Phase 1, 5 August - 7 August 2026 – Winderton Lane from B4035 Shipston Road to Winderton Road. Phase 2, 10 August - 14 August 2026 – Winderton Road from Chelmscote Road to Winderton Lane. Phase 3, 17 August - 21 August 2026 – Winderton Road from Winderton Lane to Compton Wynyates.
Reason for Order: Drainage and associated works, weekdays only 09.30hrs - 15.30hrs.
Order Commences: 5 August 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 21 August 2026.
Access & Diversions:
Phase 1 – B4035 High Street, B4035 Shipston Road, Castle Hill, Chelmscote Road, Winderton Road, Compton Wynyates, Tyne Hill, B4035 Holloway Hill and vice versa.
Phase 2 – Chelmscote Road, Compton Wynyates, Winderton Road, Winderton Lane, Saltway Lane, B4035 High Street, B4035 Shipston Road, Castle Hill, Chelmscote Road and vice versa.
Phase 3 – Compton Wynyates, Tyne Hill, B4035 Holloway Hill, Saltway Lane, Winderton Road, Chelmscote Road, Compton Wynyates and vice versa.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.
