SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C446 LOWER ROAD, CODDENHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C446 Lower Road, Coddenham from New Cottage for 450 metres northbound to facilitate tree removal works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Green Hill and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 16/07/2026 - 17/07/2026 from 9am - 3.30pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C659 THE DUDDERY AND ASHFIELD GREEN, WICKHAMBROOK

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. C659 The Duddery, Wickhambrook from number 4 for 300 metres northbound.

  2. C659 Ashfield Green, Wickhambrook from The Duddery for 300 metres south eastbound.

This is to facilitate telecommunications pole testing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

  1. Church Road, the A143, the B1063, Cemetery Road, Coltsfoot Green and vice versa.

  2. the Duddery, Church Road, the A143, Brookes Corner, Weathercock Hill, Old Post Office Road, Hargrave Road, Chevington Road, Wickhambrook Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 16/07/2026 from 9.30am - 2.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF

THE C323 THE STREET AND GRUNDSBURGH ROAD, TUDDENHAM ST MARTIN

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

  • C323 The Street, Tuddenham St Martin.

  • C323 Grundisburgh Road, Tuddenham St Martin.

This is to facilitate surface dressing, surface sealing and road marking works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Playford Road Culpho, Butts Road, Playford Road, Playford, Playford Road Rushmere St Andrew, Playford Road Ipswich, the A1214, Tuddenham Road Ipswich, Main Road Westerfield, Main Road Tuddenham St Martin and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

  • 16/07/2026 - 20/07/2026 from 8am - 5pm (surface dressing)

  • 04/08/2026 - 05/08/2026 from 8am - 5pm (surface sealing)

  • 07/08/2026 - 12/08/2026 from 7pm - 5am (road marking works)

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

THE C209 PEASENHALL ROAD AND HALESWORTH ROAD, WALPOLE AND SIBTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

  • C209 Peasenhall Road, Walpole

  • C209 Halesworth Road, Sibton from Peasenhall Hall, Walpole to Dunwich Lane.

This is to facilitate road markings and surface dressing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Dunwich Lane, Sibton, Dunwich Lane, Heveningham Long Lane, Heveningham, the B1117 and vice versa.

It is intended that these closures will operate:

  • Surface Dressing: 25/07/2026 - 26/07/2026 from 8am - 5pm

  • Road Markings: 24/08/2026 - 29/08/2026 from 7:30pm to 5am

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

THE C442 LOWER STREET, SPROUGHTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C442 Lower Street, Sproughton from the B1113 to Church Lane to facilitate pole and overhead cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1113, the A14, Sproughton Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 26/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

  • C556 The Street, Stowlangtoft from Kiln Lane to The Street

  • C556 The Street, Hunston from The Street to Westley Way

  • C556 Hunston Road, Badwell Ash from Westley Road to St Marys Crescent

  • C556 The Street, Badwell Ash from St Marys Crescent to Langham Road

This is to facilitate surface dressing and road marking works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be The Street, the A1088, the A143, Walsham Road, Ixworth Road, The Causeway, Badwell Road, The Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

  • 25/07/2026 - 26/07/2026 from 8am - 5pm

  • 21/08/2026 - 27/08/2026 from 7:30pm - 5am

With a further closure scheduled for associated works.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

NOTICE OF PROPOSED ROAD HUMP AND RAISED CROSSING

ON BARRACK SQUARE (C372/U3214), MARTLESHAM

Suffolk County Council proposes to construct one raised table on Barrack Square and one flat-top road hump on the entrance to BT Offices at Adastral Park, Martlesham.

The raised table on Barrack Square will be located 43m east of the entrance to the BT Offices at Adastral Park, Martlesham. It will place across the full width of the road and will be 19m long (including ramps) and 75mm high.

The flat-top road hump on the entrance to BT Offices at Adastral Park, Martlesham will place 6.5m into the junction and across the full width of the road. It will be 5.5m long (including ramps) and 75mm high.

A map showing the location of the proposed raised table and road hump, and the Council's reasons for this proposal may be seen with advanced notice at Woodbridge Library, New Street, Woodbridge IP12 1DT on Monday: 10am - 5pm, Tuesday: 9am - 6:30pm, Wednesday and Thursday: 9am - 5:30pm, Friday: 9am - 7pm, Saturday: 9am - 5pm, Sunday: 10am - 4pm, excluding Bank Holidays and Public Holidays.
