(DUDLEY ROAD ETC, BIRMINGHAM) (MOVEMENT) (TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that the above named Council have made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32, 35, 45, 46, 49, 53,101 and 102 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and the Bus Lane Contraventions (Approved Local Authorities) (England) Order 2005 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers the effect of which will be as follows:
• To introduce/vary waiting restrictions of lengths of DUDLEY ROAD, ABERDEEN STREET, BARFORD ROAD, COPE STREET, ELLEN STREET, EYRE STREET, HEATH STREET, ICKNIELD PORT ROAD, NEW SPRING STREET, STEWARD STREET, WINSON GREEN ROAD, LADYWOOD, NORTH EDGBASTON & SOHO & JEWELLERY QUARTER WARDS
• To introduce lengths of Bus Lane on DUDLEY ROAD (eastbound operational 7am-1pm everyday & westbound operational 1pm-7pm, everyday) between the junction of Winson Green Road & the junction with Spring Hill.
• To introduce No U Turns on:
• DUDLEY ROAD, both sides of the junction with Winson Green Road and Icknield Port Road
• DUDLEY ROAD on the east side of its junction with Heath Street
• WINSON GREEN ROAD at the junction with Dudley Road
• ICKNIELD PORT ROAD at the junction with Dudley Road
• To introduce No Right Turn on DUDLEY ROAD into Northbrook Street.
• To introduce No Left Turn on DUDLEY ROAD into Heath Street.
These Orders will come into operation on 17th July 2026

If any person wishes to question the validity of these Orders or of any of the provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act or on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to these Orders may within 6 weeks from the 16th July 2026 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
