Wraxall Hill, Wraxall, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists
Date coming into force: 17 August 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
This order is required because of carriageway patching and will become operative on 17 August 2026, anticipated to be of 5 working days. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

The Triangle and Chapel Hill, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists Order 2026
Date coming into force: 3 August 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
This order is required because of infrastructure improvements and will become operative on 3 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works. It is anticipated the closure of this section of The Triangle will be for a period of approximately 14 weeks however the Closure of Chapel Hill is anticipated to begin in September for a period of approximately 7 weeks.
Schedule - The section of The Triangle on the southwestern side of the clock tower outside property numbers 11 and 13. Chapel Hill from its junction with The Triangle to a point 10m in a northwestern direction.
Alternative routes - Chapel Hill: Chapel Hill, Highdale Avenue, Old Street and vice-versa.
Old Street, Clevedon, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Waiting & Loading Order 2026
Date coming into force: 3 August 2026

Will be to temporarily prohibit waiting and loading to all vehicles on the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and enforcement of the restrictions.
This order is required because of the need to implement measures for public safety and the facilitation of road works as part of the BSIP (Bus Service Improvement Plan) works being undertaken by North Somerset Council. This order will become operative on the 3 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the prohibition of waiting and loading may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works. It is anticipated the prohibition of waiting and loading will be for a period of approximately 14 weeks. Appropriate traffic signs and/or road markings will be displayed when and where the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Movements Order 2026

Will be to prohibit, temporarily, any vehicle from making a right turn (a) from The Triangle (northwestern side of the clock tower) onto the north to south section of The Triangle that is the B3133.
This order is necessary in the interest of public safety and the facilitation of road works as part of the BSIP (Bus Service Improvement Plan) works being undertaken by North Somerset Council. The restrictions will become operative on the 3 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the prohibitions and restriction will not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works. The restrictions will be implemented in such a way to always maintain access to and from this section of The Triangle via the alternative routes described below.

This order will become operative on the 2 October 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians and cyclists the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by contractors for MetroWest for rail project associated demolition and construction works. This order will become operative on the 7 September 2026 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 months in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
