Gloucestershire - Multiple Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

The reason for the said closures and restrictions is for carriageway works. There will be no stopping or waiting and no loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.

The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted, at various times, on a rolling programme commencing 3rd August 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the said closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures and restrictions taking effect.

This Order may permit the said closures and restrictions in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 30th November 2026.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C265 SPRING HILL (NAILSWORTH TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C265 Spring Hill from its junction with Springhill Crescent to its junction with Old Market for a distance of approximately 97 metres. The reason for the said closure is for overhead cabling works.

The said road is expected to be closed between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs on 6th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 405865 Dark Lane from its junction with Powis Court to outside of the property known as ‘Windsmeet’ for a distance of approximately 98 metres. The reason for the closure is for works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.

The said road is expected to be closed from 6th August 2026 until 7th August 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

from outside of the properties known as ‘Tannery Cottages’ to outside the rear of the property known as ‘No.8 Wesley Road’ for a distance of approximately 68 metres. The reason for the closure is for works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.

The road is expected to be closed from 08:00 hours until 17:00 hours on 6th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
