Gloucestershire - Multiple Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS (MINCHINHAMPTON PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below.

SCHEDULE

The reason for the said closures is for gas mains replacement works.

The said roads are expected to be closed from 20th July 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether they are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated that all works will be completed by 22nd January 2027, or until the said works have been completed.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401429 KINGSCOURT LANE (STROUD TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401429 Kingscourt Lane, from its junction with Walkley Hill to outside the property known as ‘Number 2’ for a distance of approximately 40 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for wall repair works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 20th July 2026 until 24th July 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C213 PARK END, PAGANHILL (STROUD TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C213 Park End, Paganhill, from its junction with Farmhill Lane to its junction with Laurel Bank for a distance of approximately 650 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for gas mains replacement works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 20th July 2026 until 9th October 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the A46 Merrywalks Road, from outside of the property known as ‘Lion House, Rowcroft’ to outside of the property known as ‘Stroud Viaduct, The Hill’ for a distance of approximately 91 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for manhole works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 19:00hrs on 20th July 2026 until 06:00hrs on 21st July 2026 only.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401214, GLOUCESTER ROAD TO HALFWAY PITCH (PITCHCOMBE PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401214 Gloucester Road to Halfway Pitch from outside of the property known as ‘Gable End’ to outside of the property known as ‘Rose Cottage’ for a distance of approximately 60 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for water connection works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 22nd July 2026 until 24th July 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 405879 Windsoredge Lane Road from its junction with Church Road to outside of the property known as ‘Blackbird Cottage’ for a distance of approximately 36 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works by Severn Trent Water.

The said road is expected to be closed from 20th July 2026 until 22nd July 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C269 Brimscombe Hill from outside of the property known as ‘Katoomba’ to outside of the property known as ‘Friday Cottage’ for a distance of approximately 75 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.

The said road is expected to be closed between the hours of 08:00hrs and 16:00hrs on 20th July 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
