What is happening?

SECTION 90A HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, HIGHWAYS (ROAD HUMPS) REGULATIONS 1999 PROPOSED SPEED CUSHIONS ON CITY ROAD AND ROYCE ROAD, HULME

NOTICE is hereby given that Manchester City Council proposes to introduce: Speed Cushions - 75mm high (+/- 15mm), 2.5m long, 1.7m wide and 0.7m - 1.2m from the kerb line, gradients no steeper than 1:15) on:

Royce Road -
1.Two speed cushions with a midpoint 10m east of Fenn Street

2.Two speed cushions with a midpoint 5m east of Old York Street

3.Two speed cushions with a midpoint 10m east of Dearden Street

4.Two speed cushions with a midpoint 16m east of The Sanctuary

City Road -
1.Triple speed cushions with a midpoint 8.5m north east of Grenham Avenue

2.Triple speed cushions with a midpoint 45m north east of Shawheath Close

A plan showing the location of the Speed Cushions may be inspected in person at the Customer Service Centre Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) 9am-4.30pm Monday to Friday or requested by emailing phlegal@manchester.gov.uk.  

Objections to the proposals must be sent in writing to phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or the address below, stating the grounds on which they are made, no later than 7th August 2026.
