What is happening?

(GATEHOUSE OF FLEET GALA)
(TEMPORARY
TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDERS 2026

The Council has made Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close various roads in Gatehouse of Fleet as detailed below on. 

The closures are necessary to facilitate activities associated with Gatehouse of Fleet Gala events. 

Minor delays should be expected for the duration of the events. 

Emergency vehicle access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

(U19S BARCAPLE) 
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U19s between Invergarry and its junction with U163s, Ringford, Castle Douglas from 0800 to 1700 on 28/07/26. 

The closure is necessary to facilitate BT pole replacement. 

Alternative route available via U163s, A75TR, A762, U29s, U19s and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(U20S BARMAGACHAN) (TEMPORARY
TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) NO.2 ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U20s Near Bunkershill, Borgue from 09:30 to 15:30 on 29/07/26. 

The closure is necessary to facilitate BT pole replacement works. 

Alternative route available via U20s, U38s, C8s and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(C4S LITTLETON - TWYNHOLM)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close C4s near Littleton Cottages, Gatehouse of Fleet from 09:30 to 15:00 on 29/07/26. 

The closure is necessary to facilitate BT pole replacement works. 

Alternative route available via C4s, B727, A75TR, C4s and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(A713 CASTLE DOUGLAS - AYR)
(TEMPORARY 40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) NO. 2 ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to impose a temporary 40mph speed restriction on the A713 at Dundeugh, Dalry, Castle Douglas from 08:00 on 27/07/26 to 18:00 on 07/08/26, and effective only when identified by appropriate signs prescribed by the Traffic signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. 

The temporary 40mph speed restriction is necessary to facilitate power upgrade works.
