(TEMPORARY PARKING SUSPENSION) ORDER 2026
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily suspend parking on A780 Loreburn Street, Dumfries, at two parking spaces outside Halfords from 0800 to 1800 on 26/07/2026. In addition, at this time, the bus stop outside The Academy will be suspended and alternative bus stop located.
The suspension is necessary to facilitate safe access to BT carriageway boxes. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
U883N PARK LANE & GREENSANDS
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U883n Park Lane and Greensands, Dumfries from 0900 on 17/07/26 to 1700 on 07/05/27.
During this time, the Buccleuch Bridge underpass and Greensands footpath (riverside path) will be closed.
The closure is necessary to facilitate works area and associated works for the Dumfries flood protection and regeneration project.
No alternative route available to Park Lane. Alternative pedestrian access will be available via Buccleuch Bridge and College Street.
Emergency access will not be available. Pedestrian access will not be maintained.
(C16N LANEGATE – SHIELDHILL)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close C16n from the junction of the A701 to West Lanegate, Shieldhill from 0800 to 1700 on 24/07/2026.
The closure is necessary to facilitate BT pole replacement. Alternative route available via C16n, C15n, A709, C9n, A701 and vice versa.
Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
